Digga-Bit is me (+ the help of various vocal's lurking on the internet),
a bunch of boxes that bleep,
a coupla guitars & a bass.
Mashing-up sampling, electronics & live instrumentation is my thing.
I've never been very tribal about my tastes in music....
I dont think I'll ever settle on a particular style or genre.
Inspiration comes from all directions;
Rock, Electronica, Pop, Hip Hop, Goth, Grunge, lo-fi, Brian Wilson,
Siouxsie and the Banshees,
The Cure, Prince, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, Killing Joke, Tricky,
film soundtracks, beauty, darkness, light, anger, melancholy,
crate/mp3 digging, sampling, recording..........
PREVIOUSLY.......
Previous convictions include 7 years playing bass for alt-rockers SPEAR OF DESTINY
recording 6 albums and playing alongside bands inc. The Alarm, The Damned,
Gene Loves Jezabel, Stiff Little Fingers etc
& producer / guitarist for electronica trio OBEDIENTBONE.
Our debut album won the Diesel-U-Music Award
and we supported artists including
Kasabian, Roni Size, Senser, Hawkwind,
DJ Krust, Dreadzone, Jah Wobble etc
